LAWRENCE — Several gunshots were fired during a brawl outside a popular downtown Lawrence nightclub and one Kansas Unversity graduate was injured early Sunday morning. Jack Connor of Kansas City was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for a gunshot wound. Police described his injury as non-life-threatening. Witnesses told the Lawrence Journal-World that five to six gunshots were fired two separate times during the brawl outside the Granada. The fight began inside the night club and bouncers pushed it outside. As police tried to quell the disturbance, the first set of shots were fired. As the crowd was dispersed, more shots were fired.
