OTTAWA — An Ottawa man was resentenced to life for raping a seven-year-old girl and will be returned to the state prison at Ellsworth. Melvin Trautloff Jr. was brought back to Franklin County District Court after it was ordered that he be resentenced because of changes in a presentence report. Trautloff was resentenced Monday to three life sentences. He must serve at least 40 years. He was sentenced early last year after he and his girlfriend were convicted of raping her daughter and using a camera to record the assaults.
