GARNETT — The Anderson County USD 365 office has moved to a temporary home. Because of roof problems with the district office building in downtown Garnett, the office has been moved to the vacant Caldwell John Deere dealership building on the north side of the city. Superintendent Don Blome said the school board is looking at its options. Blome said the downtown location, which includes two buildings and a vacant lot, has serious roof problems and the buildings need to be rehabilitated or demolished.
The board has put the downtown buildings up for sale. Blome said because there isn’t enough space in any of the Garnett schools, the district office can’t be moved into one of the school buildings right now.
