TOPEKA — The Kansas Dpartment of Transportation has finished its corridor management plan for K-68 between Ottawa and Louisburg. The plan looks at future land use, traffic patterns and potential business development in Franklin and Miami counties over the next 20 years. Both counties and cities in the counties have agreed to re-write some of their zoning and planning rules to fit the corridor plan. KDOT wants to control development along the highway to avoid expensive changes to the highway.
Several public hearings were held as officials worked on the plan.
