TOPEKA–The unemployment rate in area counties continues to be a mixed bag. The Kansas Department of Labor says Anderson County had 7 percent unemployment in November, which is up over October’s 6.7 percent rate. Franklin County saw an improvement….November had a 6.8 percent rate, down from 7.3 percent in October. Linn County was at 8 percent in October and November. Miami County had a slight improvement. November the jobless rate was 6.1 percent, down from 6.4 percent in October. Osage County stayed stable at 6.6 percent in October and November.
