OTTAWA — An early morning fire has severely damaged a house in the 900 block of Bennett Road in northeast Ottawa. Fire Chief Jeff Carner said when firefighters arrived shortly after 4 a.m. today, the house was engulfed in flames. The house had been converted from a metal building and he said the fire may have destroyed it. Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire today, he said.
