GARNETT — The Garnett Tourism Advisory Committee is looking for volunteers to serve on the Garnett Sesquicentennial steering committee. The city of Garnett will have its 150th anniversary on Oct. 7, 2011. The tourism committee wants to have several activities and programs throughout next year to mark the anniversary. An organizational meeting will be Jan. 6 at the Garnett City Hall beginning at 7 p.m. Anyone who would like to serve on the committee or help in any way is invited to attend.
