OTTAWA — Four people were injured in two winter-related accidents on Christmas day in Franklin County. The Kansas Highway Patrol said 27-year-old Kevin Douglas Sullivan, 27, Wichita, was driving north on I-35 Christmas afternoon when he saw a vehicle going much slower. He hit his brakes and lost control and his SUV slid into a ditch and overturned. Troopers said he and a passenger, 24-year-old Saxony Sullivan, Wichita, were taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital, where they were treated and released. Troopers said at about the same time Christmas afternoon, James Lee McWilliams, 40, Ottawa was driving south on U.S 59 when he lost control of his pickup two miles south of Princeton. The truck hit a bridge and spun around several times and hit a guard rail. He and a passenger, Trecha McWilliams, 33, were taken to Overland Park Regional Hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately available. Troopers said four children who were passengers in the truck weren’t injured.
