TOPEKA — The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said before the weekend that a 49-year-old man from the Topeka area has died from H1N1 swine flu. The KDHE said the man had other medical conditions. He died in November but swine flu wasn’t confirmed until last week. His death raises the confirmed number of Kansans who have died from swine flu to 24, including one 44-year-old man in Franklin County.
