OSAWATOMIE — The city of Osawatomie hopes to birdie next year with the golf course finances. The city council recently transferred $23,000 into the golf course fund to keep it in the black in 2010. Osawatomie city manager Bret Glendening told the Osawatomie Journal that the city will pay off golf course debt next year and will improve the course’s financial condition, which he says is close to breaking even. The city took over the course four years ago. He said the course is a good recreational asset for the city.
