WICHITA — Even when the holidays go perfectly, Wichita State psychologist Greg Buell said it’s hard to get back to work or school and not feel blue after all those holiday activities. In their wish for the “perfect holiday,” many people try to re-enact a Norman Rockwell painting, he said. Even if things go perfectly, there still tends to be a let-down; almost like grieving, he said. Buell said you should lower your expectations and keep in mind the reason for family get-togethers is just to get together.
