KINCAID — It was a very merry Christmas in the Kincaid area. Many people answered a knock on their doors, and a man handed them a $100 bill and a fruit basket. The secret Santa, who wants to remain anonymous, told the Anderson CountyR he did it to rekindle the Christmas spirit. The secret Santa said he has had several health problems and after his last stay in the hospital he said God told him that he couldn’t take his money with him and that he needed to spread it around. A veteran, the man found out that the Veterans Administration had underpaid him for several years and when he received back payments, he used that windfall for his gifts. He said he didn’t expect any gratitude for his gifts but he says he’s received more Christmas cards this year than anytime in his life.
