PAOLA — Today is the deadline to sign up as a sponsor for the Kansas Day Expo in Paola. To be a sponsor, check with the Paola Area Chamber of Commerce. The Kansas Day Expo will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Paola National Guard Armory. Paola is recognized as the birthplace of Kansas Day observances. The first Kansas Day was marked Jan. 29, 1877, at North School in Paola.
