OTTAWA — City commissioners plan to formally apply for a state highway grant called a KLINK grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation when they meet Wednesday night at 7. City manager Richard Nienstedt said if the city wins the grant, it will pay half the $167,000 cost of repaving K-68 between Poplar Street and I-35.
