OTTAWA — The city of Ottawa is asking that you be a good neighbor during these cold days. Mayor Blake Jorgensen said he seconds the thoughts of Dr. F.D. Burrows Sr., senior pastor of Ottawa First United Methodist Church, that Ottawans check on their neighbors, especially elderly neighbors, during these cold days. The city also asks that you clean snow off your sidewalks. Many people are dependent on using those sidewalks and it’s the property owners’ responsibility to make sure their clear, city manager Richard Nienstedt said.
