COLONY — When Colony officials knock on doors, it won’t necessarily be to complain about the height of the grass. It may be to hand out a reward. City council member Melissa Hobbs wants the city to reward those residents who keep their yards looking good this year. She said the city should do more than grinch at residents who don’t. Other small cities have similar rewards program, she said. Rewards could include gift certificates from area businesses. The city will form a committee of volunteers to handle the program.
