OSAWATOMIE — The deadline to file for Osawatomie City Council is noon Jan. 26. Four positions are up for election this spring – those are held by Troy Dalton, Ward I; Brent Kaempfe, Ward II; Karen LaDuex, Ward III; and Tamara Maichel, Ward IV. LaDuex and Maichel have filed for re-election. No one else has filed. Council members serve two-year terms. There’s a $5 filing fee and some paperwork to file for office. Candidates must live in the wards they wish to represent.
