KANSAS CITY — The U.S. Census Bureau will hire a thousand people in the Kansas City area through next spring. Census regional director Dennis Johnson said the 2010 Census is looking for temporary employees for recruiting assistants, field operations supervisors, crew leaders, crew leader assistants, census takers and census clerks.
