GARNETT — The Anderson County USD 365 school board recently agreed to sell the district office for $1,200 plus closing costs. Superintendent Don Blome told the Anderson County Reivew the district offices were moved to a temporary location at an old tractor dealership. The office was moved after rain flooded through the roof of the old office. The district is renting part of the dealership for $600 per month plus the cost of utilities. The district struggled with maintenance issues with the old location. Mike and Monica Hill offered the only bid to buy the office which included two buildings and a vacant lot downtown. The Hills have renovated another downtown business building and say they plan to rehabilitate the district’s old office.
