QUENEMO — Quenemo farmer Jeff Casten is seeking re-election to the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission. He would represent District Eight, which includes most of east central Kansas. Casten is a member of the commission and is secretary of the United Sorghum Checkoff Program. Ballots for the state’s five commodity commissions are being mailed to farmers in several parts of Kansas. The commissions help promote the use of the grains, which are sorghum, corn, soybeans, sunflowers and wheat.
