OTTAWA — At Monday night’s study session, the Ottawa City Commission put a proposed ordinance cooling the fever for shipping containers on the agenda for next week’s regular meeting. The planning commissioners recommended the new ordinance after they noticed the growing number of shipping containers used as storage in residential backyards. The proposed ordinance would ban backyard shipping containers and put time limits on the use of temporary structures and moving boxes.
