TOPEKA — Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels Jr. will be the guest speaker for the Republicans’ Kansas Day events. Daniels, popular two-term governor of the Hoosier state, will be the speaker at the GOP’s Red Ball and Boots reception 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Kansas Expocenter in Topeka. Although he says he’s not a candidate for president, Daniels has been mentioned for the 2012 by some pundits.
