WICHITA — Prosecutors ended their case yesterday in the trial of Scott Roeder, who is accused of murdering Wichita abortion doctor George Tiller. Roeder’s attorneys were trying to force former Kansas attorney general Phill Kline to testify. Kline and some of his deputies are the subjects of a state ethics probe over their handling of an investigation of Tiller’s clinic. Although he has pleaded not guilty, Roeder has publicly admitted he shot and killed Tiller in his church in May. The Wichita Eagle reports that Roeder could take the stand today.
