OTTAWA — Plans for lighting part of the Prairie Spirit Trail remain on track. City manager Richard Nienstedt said the bids the city received were better than expected and the city is preparing to put lights on three blocks on the trail. The city originally considered solar-powered lights but that didn’t work and they’re working on more conventional lighting.
