OTTAWA — City action Wednesday night could allow those with the drive to rebuild vintage cars to do so in their driveways or backyards. City manager Richard Nienstedt said the deal worked out with the Over the Road Gang car club would allow those with hobby cars but no way to store them in a garage or covered storage to rehabilitate them once they get a special permit from the city planning department. The new city rules will be up for a vote at the city meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Presently, you must keep a project car in a garage or covered storage in the city.
