TOPEKA — A state blue-ribbon panel will make recommendations on how to deal with Kansas’ high infant death rate Wednesday afternoon in Topeka. The panel includes 22 members including Kansas Department of Health and Environment secretary Roderick Bremby; state senator and Emporia doctor Jim Barnett, and Dennis Cooley, president of the Kansas chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
