PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti — The attorney for the missionaries being held in Haiti, Jorge Puello, told ABC Radio his clients are being unjustly detained. The missionary group is accused of trying to take children out of the country, even though many of their parents are still alive. “It’s a mistake on both parts. Maybe our clients committed a mistake. Maybe not. But that the bigger mistake is being committed right now on them,” Puello said. He said he hopes they will be released today after more questioning. A Topeka firefighter, Drew Culberth, is a member of the Baptist missionary group.
