POMONA — A group of citizens presented a petition at Tuesday night’s Pomona City Council meeting asking that Pomona Mayor Joanne Hancock resign. Hancock said she won’t resign. Many of the signers live outside of pomona or are relatives of city council members, she said. Hancock and the city council have had a stormy relationship since she was elected last year. Hancock is suing the city council and zoning administrator Doug Combs after the council reversed her decision to force out Combs. The suit was postponed to mid-May in Franklin County District Court.
