GARNETT — The Garnett Parks and Recreation Board has been sorting through ideas for the National Guard armory in Garnett. The National Fuard is closing the armory and will turn it over to the city sometime after March. Parks and Recreation Board chairman Todd Barnes told the Anderson County Review that the board thinks the armory should become a city recreation center and city officials have agreed. The board has received several ideas for recreation programs at the new center, he said.
