CARBONDALE — A 21-year-old Carbondale woman was killed Friday when her car crossed center line on U.S. 56 and hit another car head-on.The Kansas Highway Patrol said Amy Stadler was going east on U.S. 56 about a mile east of U.S. 75 near Carbondale when her car hit a car driven by 54-year-old Patricia Cooper of Carbondale. Cooper was injured and taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Both were wearing safety restraints, troopers said.
