LAWRENCE — An exhibit about World War I will open Thursday evening at 5:30 in the Library Gallery on the third floor of Watson Library at Kansas University. The exhibit runs through April 2. The exhibit will include electronic images, recruiting posters, maps, letters, photos and other artifacts from KU, Haskell Indian Nations University and the National World War I Museum in Kansas City. There will be a reception Thursday evening. Steven Trout, Fort Hays State, will talk about World War I and his most recent article about John Steuart Curry’s painting ‘The Return of Private Davis From the Argonne.” The exhibit is free and open to the public.
