GARNETT — Senior adults at the Garnett First Christian Church have been rocking – and not in the chair on the front porch. Senior adult coordinator Marilyn Artherton said church seniors have been delivering Meals on Wheels, giving rides to others for medical appointments and making quilts for fundraisers. Recently, the group of seniors used their annual Christmas party to collect items for the Bea Martin Peck Animal Shelter in Ottawa. Artherton said the group will take trips to just about anywhere including the Bowlus Art Center in Iola, the Biblesta in Humboldt and the and the Wizard of Oz Museum in Wamego.
