CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Long-time Central Heights coach Buddy Welch is about to get floored – really. After 29 years as a Vikings coach, Welch is now retired. He’ll be honored between the Vikings girls and boys’ games Friday when Central Heights will name the floor in the Ike Cearfoss Gymnasium after him. Welch said he’s happy with the tribute and said some of his happiest and most memorable times have occurred on the floor.
