DOUGLAS COUNTY – Three people are injured due to a two vehicle accident Friday morning at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and 56. Albert Aldridge of Pomona was stopped at the intersection on U.S. 59 when he was struck in the back by another car driven by Marcia Funk of Williamsburg. No one suffered any life threatening injuries, but were transported by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Funk was cited for failing to stop at the stop sign. Aldridge and Funk were treated and released. Aldridge’s wife Joyce, passenger, was held at LMH for observation.
