OTTAWA — Three teenaged girls and one teenage boy were taken to the juvenile detention center after Ottawa police broke up a teenage party with underage drinking late Friday night in the 800 block of South Cherry. Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said a teen at the party told a parent who marched the teen to the sheriff’s department to talk about the party. Police officers broke up the party and arrested the teens. Teens were released to their parents and their cases were referred to the county attorney. Ages of those arrested ranged from 14 to 17. The police don’t often receive reports of teen drinking parties inside the city, Weingartner said.
