LAWRENCE — The second in a series of events to mark the 50th anniversary of Bob Dole’s election to Congress will be Tuesday night at 7:30 at the Dole Institute of Politics at Kansas University. Three former Dole staff members Sheila Burke, Rod Dearment and Walt Riker will discuss laws were introduced by Dole that changed America. Some of those laws include the Americans with Disabilities Act, Women and Infant Children nutrition program, Food Stamps and Social Security reform. All programs are free and open to the public.
