PAOLA — Mary Davis, 81, has been identified by the Miami County Sheriff’s Department as the elderly woman who died Monday night in a mobile-home fire in the 23000 block of Indianapolis Road in northwestern Miami County. Sharon Jones and Michael Jones were injured and hospitalized. Sharon Jones told investigators that Davis was her mother and that she was disabled. The mobile home was destroyed. Wellsville fire chief Robert Thomas says the cause of the fire is under investigation. Besides the Wellsville Fire Department, volunteer firefighters from the Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison, Paola, Osawatomie and Louisburg departments also helped battle the blaze.
