LAWRENCE — Willie Brown, the former speaker of the California Assembly and San Francisco mayor, will speak Tuesday at the Dole Institute of Politics at Kansas University. Brown was speaker for 15 years and dominated California politics. He’ll speak as part of KU’s Black History Month events. His speech will be 7:30. It is free and open to the public.
