GARNETT — Roads and streets in Anderson County and its cities have taken a hit this winter. Garnett city manager Joyce Martin told the Anderson County Review that the street department has been filling potholes all winter. It’s too early to figure the exact cost of the street work. She said the constant use of snow blades to push snow off streets has been rough on city streets. Anderson County engineer Donna Schmit said the county’s gravel roads are being damaged because there has been so much snow and rain this winter.
