OTTAWA — Art initiates life – especially the fire sprinkler system at Ottawa Middle School. Ottawa fire chief Jeff Carner said combustible materials were left next to a kiln and the heat from the kiln set the materials on fire, which set off the fire sprinklers. There was no damage from the fire but there was quite a bit of water, Carner said. School personnel quickly cleaned up the water, he said.
