TOPEKA — Representative Bill Feuerborn said one highway bill working its way through the Legislature should get a green light: House Bill 2678. The bill would designate the Franklin County segment of the new U.S. 59 as the Vern Chesbro Memorial Highway, after the Ottawa business executive and political activist who died earlier this year. Feuerborn said he was scheduled to testify on behalf of the bill this afternoon.
