OTTAWA — This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week and Franklin County emergency management director Alan Radcliffe said now is the time to prepare your emergency storm shelter and check your National Weather Service weather radio and alarm. He said you should always watch the sky. And whenever the National Weather Service issues a storm warning, react immediately and take cover in a sturdy emergency shelter away from windows.
