OMAHA, Neb. — A Creighton University economics professor who does regular surveys of the regional economy says his most recent study shows economic indicators are the highest they’ve been in three years. A study of regional supply managers including those in Kansas forecasts strong economic growth later this year, said Ernie Goss. He called regional supply managers economic “canaries in the coal mine” and that they’re optimist about placing more orders is good news, he said. Goss said the study predicts that Kansas should see better economic growth, and for job losses to slow down this summer.
