PAOLA — A seminar on family-farm transitions will be Wednesday night at 7 at the Miami County Extension office in Paola. Duane Hund, Kansas State Research and Extension ag economist and family farm expert, will talk about how good communications will make for successful farm transitions between parents and children, realistic planning for family farms, and using family business meetings to prevent conflicts. He also operates a 1,750-acre farm and raises stocker cattle near Paxico. Register as soon as possible by calling Miami County Extension agent Mike Epler at (913) 294-4306.
