OTTAWA — Because so many people and students plan to go to Salina to see the Ottawa basketball teams compete in the 4-A state tournament, school officials said Ottawa High School will end the school day early at 11:25 a.m. Thursday. The early closure affects only the high school. The girls’ basketball team and cheerleaders leave for Salina this afternoon and the boys’ basketball team will go out Thursday. The 21-2 Lady Cyclones will play 22-1 Girard tonight at 8:15 at the Bicentennial Center. The Cyclone boys will play Holton Thursday afternoon at 3. KOFO will broadcast both games and will videostream the games live on kofo.com.
