LAS VEGAS–A big recall of foods containing a flavor enhancer has been issued. A company called Basic Food Flavors is recalling products containing hydrolyzed vegetable protein because it may contain a type of salmonella. H-V-P is used to enhance the flavor of a wide variety of processed food products, such as soups, sauces, chilis, stews, hot dogs, gravies, seasoned snack foods, dips, and dressings.
