OTTAWA — The Franklin County Spring fling Begins in earnest this morning. Franklin County Children’s Coalition’s Michelle Richards said the annual Spring Fling begins with a full slate Monday morning: Events include dodge ball at the Woodward Center, 9 a.m.-noon, with separate times for different age groups; play time at the Carnegie, 9-11 a.m. for children up to 5; a tour of the Dietrich Cabin at City Park, 9:30-11:30 a.m.; and Picking and Smiling With Fiddles & Violins with the Ottawa Suzuki Strings at the First United Methodist Church, 10-11 a.m.; free lunch – beef tomato mac and green beans – at the First United Methodist Church, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.; Ottawa University baskeball, noon-2:30 p.m.; golf at Ottawa Country Club 1-4 p.m. with different times for different age groups; free Family Flicks at Ottawa Municipal Auditorium, 2 p.m.; “Music With a Message” positive rock concert has been moved to Faith Lutheran Church, 1320 W. 15th, 5:30-8 p.m., free dinner provided, with one canned or non-perishable food item; and Skating at the Rink, 6-9 p.m., admission $1.
