TOPEKA – Gov. Mark Parkinson has signed a bill that $5 million more for the Kansas judicial branch budget. Kansas Supreme Court judge Lawton Nuss said that the extra money means the state court system won’t have to close as many days as originally planned this year. That also includes the furlough originally planned for this week.
Nuss said the courts could have to close for about four days before June 30.
