OSAWATOMIE — The bell is back on top of Osawatomie’s Old Stone Church. The rotting cupola was rebuilt and it and the bell were recently placed on top of the historic church, the Osawatomie Journal reports. A group of historic experts and citizens picked up a grant to rebuild the cupola and do other restoration work. The church was the first in Osawatomie and was built in 1861 by the Rev. Samuel Adair, an in-law and comrade of John Brown.
