OTTAWA — Ottawa University will host Baker University in its first football game of the season Aug. 28. The Braves and Wildcats will meet in the fourth annual College Fanz First Down Cassic. It’s the first time in 17 years that the long-time rivals have met. Head braves football coach Kent Kessinger said it’s a game the alumni from both schools have long been waiting for. Ottawa finished last year as champions of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference with an 11-1 overall record. They reached the second round of the NAIA Championship Series. Baker was 7-3 last year and finished fourth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.
